University of Delaware's Resident Ensemble Players Perform "She Stoops to Conquer"

The newly created resident ensemble theater at the University of Delaware is performing a production of the play "She Stoops to Conquer".  It is directed by Sanford Robbins and has opened to rave reviews.  One of which can be read at Delaware Online.  Sanford Robbins is also the artistic director of the Resident Ensemble Players which has brought professional theater to the University of Delaware.

 Sanford Robbins of the University of Delaware was recently interviewed about the history of "She Stoops to Conquer" and the preparations made to put on the production.  The interview also includes rehersal footage.   

University of Delaware starts a Professional Resident Theater Company

Sanford Robbins of the University of Delaware has been a key player in bringing a new resident professional acting company to the campus.  This move makes it possible for students in the Professional Theater Training Program (PTTP)  to have direct and regular contact with working professional actors.  This is a unique approach and the regular contact with the professional theater scene is something often missing for students in many acting programs around the country.

The University of Delaware brought Sanford Robbins and the Professional Theater Training Program from Milwaukee in the late 1980s.
